In order to proactively detect and prevent suspected cases of infectious diseases spreading across borders, the Department of Preventive Medicine (Ministry of Health) has proposed the International Health Quarantine Center and Center for Disease Control Provinces and cities that have medical quarantine activities strictly and fully implement medical quarantine activities for people, vehicles and goods… as prescribed in Decree No. 89/2018/ND- The Government’s CP dated June 25, 2018 guides the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Prevention of Infectious Diseases on border medical quarantine.

The inspection, medical treatment and sterilization of vehicles and goods must comply with the medical quarantine process.

The Ministry of Health also suggested that units update their prevention plans to respond to infectious diseases at each border gate, which requires the coordination and participation of functional agencies at the border gate, health authorities. local authorities to promptly handle epidemic situations that may occur, not to be passive or embarrassed.

Develop a plan and propose a list of facilities and equipment to serve regular health quarantine activities and in case of epidemics, and at the same time coordinate closely with sanitary and epidemiological institutes and hospitals. Continuously in the past 5 and 6 months, the Ministry of Health has also sent an official dispatch requesting establishments to strengthen surveillance to detect suspected cases and possible cases of monkeypox (as defined by the World Health Organization).

When detecting a suspected case, immediately report it to the health department to coordinate with the sanitary and epidemiological institutes and the Pasteur Institute in diagnosing and identifying the case. The Institutes of Hygiene and Epidemiology, the Pasteur Institute direct, guide and support the locality to monitor, supervise and handle cases of monkeypox.
